Bethesda is an Evangelical church that believes in the divine Inspiration of the Holy Scriptures. We believe Jesus Christ came to redeem the world from sin and to rescue mankind from eternal separation from God. Christ performed this miraculous work on the cross. Because of His sacrifice, we can be saved and brought into right relationship with Him. The key to salvation is faith in Jesus Christ, admitting we are sinners, believing Jesus is the ONLY way to the Father, confessing our sins, and trusting Him to cleanse and make us new. We are a missions oriented church committed to reaching our world with the truth of the gospel. The primary purpose in all we do - every class, service, program, ministry and fellowship time - is about reaching people with the good news of Jesus Christ. We are dedicated to helping people establish a daily, life-long and vibrant relationship with Him, so that together we can be changed into His likeness. Bethesda, which literally means "House of Mercy," is a place of healing and grace. We believe failure is not final, nor fatal because of God's great mercy and grace which he extends to all freely. We are a charismatic church, which simply means we believe in the dynamic manifestation of the Holy Spirit; in supernatural power as evidenced in Acts 2:4; the gifts of the Holy Spirit (I Corinthians 12) and the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22).
