WHAT HAVE WE ACCOMPLISHED WITH P2 IN YEAR 1? 1. The renovation of the church sanctuary including: • Redesign of the platform area • Update of the audio-visual equipment with new video screens • Improvement of the congregational comfort 2. An additional parking lot for 120 vehicles 3. The architectural and engineering designs for new childrens center 4. Partial renovation of classrooms for future daycare use HOW MUCH HAVE WE SPENT? To date, P2 improvements have cost approximately $900,000 WHAT ELSE ARE WE BUILDING? The new 30,000 square foot Children's Complex consisting of two floors with convenient access to the existing building that when finished out includes: • Worship space designed to seat 275 to 300 children and outfitted with audio-visual equipment, special lighting, and a platform where kids will be involved with drama, puppet shows, etc. • A game area equipped with leading edge interactive games • A two story Play Zone to provide a physical activity component for the kids • Classrooms set up for teaching related to various themes • Offiices for the children's pastoral team, workroom, bathrooms, and storage • Additional rooms for the purpose of Daycare operations • An additional Multi-purpose room • An addition to the Youth Facility of approximately 3700 square feet HOW MUCH MORE WILL IT COST? The expected cost of construction will be approximately $2.2 million The expected cost to fully outfit the childrens area will be approximately $600,000 WHEN WILL WE COMPLETE THE PROJECT? The construction project is forecasted to be completed by April 2006 HOW IT WORKS? Quite simply, the "Power of 2" means 2% of your income. If every Bethesda member can increase their giving by just 2% of their income, we can fund the improvements outlined above. If you are currently tithing 10% of your income, then joining the "Power of 2" program means you would increase your giving to 12%. Your pledge card outlines the amount and terms of the involvement you desire. Online Contributions If you prefer to pay your bills online, you may wish to make contributions to Bethesda online also. Go to your bank website, link to pay bills online and add Bethesda as a payee. The information you need is typically: Name: Bethesda Community Church Address: 4700 N. Beach Street               Fort Worth, TX 76137 The payee setup will ask for an Account Number. To aid us in applying your contributions correctly, we recommend that you use designations like those on the tithe envelope--Tithes, P2 or Building Fund, Missions, etc. If you want to send money for multiple designations you will need to set up additional Bethesda payees with different designations as your account number. You can be as specific as you would if you were writing on the tithes envelope. For example you can specify Teen Challenge, Benevolence, Columbia Mission Trip, etc. If a check comes in without designation it will be applied to Tithes. The day after your online payment is processed we will receive an email notifying us that your contribution has been electronically deposited to the church bank account. In addition to listing the account designations and amount for each designation, the email lists your name and address. Thank you for your faithfulness to Bethesda.
